It's been a long on going process which many were wondering if it would come to an end before the season.
Now it looks like it should get done before training camp as chatter is building up that the Philadelphia Flyers and restricted free agent Ivan Provorov should get a deal finalized today.
Provorov's agent, Todd Diamond, stated yesterday that the two sides were"closer Tuesday than we were weeks ago".
Now it seems it's all about ironing out the final details.
The NHL's most respected insider, Bob McKenzie, reports today that the two sides are working hard to get it done today on likely either a three year deal or six year deal.
Flyers writer Bill Meltzer also Tweeted out that a deal will likely get done today.
Some chatter is that it could be a three year deal worth $6million a season.

Very strong sense that 9 signs today. Not sure about 11.— Bill Meltzer (@billmeltzer) September 12, 2019
