Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher added two veteran defensemen to his roster over the last two weeks.
The team is pretty packed now as they will have eight defensemen on the roster which can all play on a nightly basis.
So fingers have been pointed towards Shayne Gostisbehere being the odd man out and on the trade block.
While at the NHL Draft in Vancouver, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun of the Athletic confirmed that Fletcher has been taking calls on the Flyers 26 year old defenseman.
He adds that his sources tell him that the Montreal Canadiens are one of the teams and makes perfect sense considering they have a deep hole on the the left side of their defense.
What could come to the Flyers is anybody's guess.
The team is full of young forwards, something the Flyers definitely need.
Flyers after acquiring two D have gotten calls from a few teams on LHD Shayne Gostisbehere. I think they would rather keep him but are listening. I believe Montreal is among those teams who have inquired.
