The Philadelphia Flyers put together the best month of November across the NHL.
After going 10-2-4 in November, the Flyers are rolling along and feeling great.
Defenseman Ivan Provorov gives praise to the Flyers goaltending duo of Brian Elliott and Carter Hart who he feels gives the team extra confidence.
“They’ve been keeping us in games and giving us momentum,” Provorov said. “We know that they’re behind us, and we’re confident if someone makes a mistake, they’ll be able to help us out.”
The numbers speak for themselves.
Hart had a 6-2-2 record, a 1.94 goals-against average, and a .927 save percentage in November while Elliott had a 4-0-2 record with a 2.38 GAA and .926 save percentage.
Despite the huge task of playing 16 games in a month, Provorov says the team wasn't scared of the challenge.
“This team is well-conditioned, well-trained, and every time we go on the ice, we give 100 percent,” Provorov said. “No matter how tired we are or how many games we’ve played in the month, we’re going to go out there and try to do our best – and that’s what we’ve been doing so far.”
The team starts off the month of December against the Toronto Maple Leafs tomorrow night at Wells Fargo Center.
