It was a bit of a surprising move earlier this season when former Philadelphia Flyers general manager Ron Hextall found a new home.
The rival Pittsburgh Penguins.
One of Hextall’s first moves was claiming Flyers’ Defenseman Mark Friedman off waivers.
Friedman was pretty happy with the move and took a shot at the city of Philadelphia recently when talking about the difference.
“There is more of a homier feel than Philadelphia. It’s not as busy, not as noisy, nicer people. It’s not as dirty, especially in Cranberry where I live. It’s just a great neighborhood.”
What do you think of Friedman’s comments?
