After failing to make the playoffs last year, the Philadelphia Flyers season ended in the first round this year losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games.
At times the Flyers were overmatched, however multiple Flyers were battling tough injuries and it was just too much to deal with.
The good that did come out of this season, was the steps the youngsters took to give Flyers' fans hope for the future.
One of those players is 21 year old defenseman Ivan Provorov.
Provorov didn't miss a game all season and played Game 6 against the Flyers with a Grade 3 AC Sprain and admitted he couldn't even feel his arms at times during the games. He showed that he takes playing for the Flyers seriously and looks to be a big part of the team's future.
“As long as my arm was attached to me, I was playing,” Provorov said.
The youngster was very emotional after the loss shedding a couple of tears, and it looks like he'll use that for motivation heading into next season.
He posted a special message on his Instagram for next year.
