Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher added some outside pieces over the last couple of weeks and now it's time to clean things up internally.
He's taken care of the Travis Sanheim extension and now he's got to worry about Travis Konecny, Nicolas Aube-Kubel and most importantly Ivan Provorov.
Even though Provorov had a bit of a down season compared to his 2017-18 season, he's still in line for a huge payday on his entry level contract.
According to Frank Seravalli of TSN, negotiations between Provorov and the Flyers are basically at a stalemate.
It appears that the Flyers and Fletcher might be lowballing Provorov and the 22 year old will wait to see how the open market plays out.
Doesn't sound like #Flyers are anywhere close to signing Ivan Provorov, who has flown under the radar a bit in this RFA class. He's 22, plays 25 min/night and has a 17-goal season on his ELC. $$$$$. Like a lot of RFAs, sense is he'll be patient and wait for market to develop.
