We had some good news out of Flyers land last night as the team along with general manager Chuck Fletcher announced the signing of Ivan Provorov.
The 22 year old defenseman signed a six year deal worth an AAV of $6.75million.
Fletcher's work isn't over yet though as Travis Konecny remains unsigned and is a big part of the Flyers forward group for this season.
NHL insider Bob McKenzie reported yesterday that two sides were far apart and it seems that McKenzie was unfortunately right.
Fletcher met with the media on Friday and said the two sides are currently very far apart and Konecny is looking for a long term deal.
Chuck Fletcher says it’s “hard to say” if Nolan Patrick will be ready at the start of the season. Skated today but week-to-week. Things not close on Travis Konecny, who prefers a longer-term deal.
