Philadelphia Flyers general manager Ron Hextall said he was willing to make a splash on the free agency market if he could find a good fit.
Well it looks like Hextall has found his man.
According to multiple sources, the Flyers will James van Riemsdyk on July 1st.
Details of the deal still aren't known, however JVR was expected to be one of the hottest free agents on the market, so expect it to be a long term deal worth anywhere from $6.5million to $7.5million a year.
JVR put up 36 goals for the Leafs last year and he'll be a great fit and give a boost to the Flyers secondary scoring.
Big news here. https://t.co/7wCNVPWj8v
