For the second straight game, the Flyers will attempt to end their losing streak versus the New York Islanders.  The Flyers have scored first in each of the last four games and have had two goal leads in two of those games, yet have lost their last six games. The Flyers had three separate one goal leads versus the Islanders on Wednesday night before losing in overtime.

The Flyers penalty kill unit has been one of the biggest reasons for the last two losses to the Calgary Flames and Islander by giving up five power play goals.  With the recent struggles, the Flyers will have to do a much better job of staying out of the penalty box this afternoon.

The lineup is expected to remain the same as we saw in Brooklyn Wednesday night, meaning Jori Lehtera and Dale Weise will be scratched.  Danick Martel, who had a very impressive NHL two days ago, will be back in the lineup on the second line.

We should see a rematch of Brian Elliott versus Thomas Greiss in goal today.
