The Flyers and Wild will conclude their season series tonight three days after Minnesota’s 1-0 shutout at the Wells Fargo Center.

Dave Hakstol has shuffled up his second and third lines in hopes to ignite some secondary scoring and take some pressure of the top line.

Jordan Weal will center the second line tonight in between Dale Weise and Wayne Simmonds.  Center is Weal’s natural position and was an AHL All-Star last season playing down the middle, so the transition should be an easy one.  Not sure what Weise has done to get top six minutes, but here we are!

Travis Konecny and Valtterii Filppula will remain together on the third line with Jori Lehtera on the left wing.  Konecny will need to use his speed to get this line going.

Brian Elliott will get his third straight after giving up two total goals in his last two starts versus Chicago and Minnesota.  He has stopped 96 of the last 100 shots he has seen so he has earned to the playing time.

The Wild only have two wins in their last five games, but that has not been the fault of Jason Zucker and Devan Dubnyk.  Zucker was named the NHL’s First Star of the Week for being the Wild’s offense as he had scored all six of the team’s goals last week.  Dubnyk has not given up a goal in his last 135 minutes plus of play.
