Over the weekend, Philadelphia Flyers general manager told reporters that the team would take a seventh defenseman with them on their two game road trip to the Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets this week.

The Flyers officially made their roster move on Monday morning by recalling Mark Alt from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League.  Alt has played in four games for the Flyers this season.  He has no points and a 53.0 CF% while averaging 9:25 of ice time per game.  He has two goals and six points in 11 games for the Phantoms.
