We have not seen rookie Nolan Patrick in game action since October 24 versus the Anaheim Ducks. Patrick left that game during the second period after being checked face first into the end boards.
We were led to believe that the injury was not too serious as last summer’s second overall pick was at the team practice the very next day, but he has missed the last seven games while dealing with a suspected concussion.
Patrick was not on the ice again today in Voorhees, NJ and his playing status remains uncertain. As Dave Issac of the Courier-Post notes below, general manager Ron Hextall did not rule out Patrick accompanying his teammates on next week’s road trip to Minnesota and Winnipeg. However, based on his inactivity over the past few days, that seems unlikely.
No Nolan Patrick in practice with the #Flyers today. Hextall left the door open to him going on the trip, but I can’t imagine that seeing as how he hasn’t been doing anything but skating on his own.— Dave Isaac (@davegisaac) November 10, 2017
