Some bad news out of Philadelphia Flyers practice this morning.
While the team stepped on the ice to continue to get ready for Saturday's big matchup with the Washington Capitals, they were missing one key player.
Claude Giroux was absent from Thursday morning's practice.
While original rumblings were that it was just a maintenance day, it later was confirmed that it wasn't.
Which lead to small whispers wondering if the Flyers captain had been traded.
However it's not the case, Giroux has had to leave Philadelphia to take care of some family matters.
While getting the Flyers another W is what's on every players mind, taking care of your family is what's most important.
Our thoughts are with Giroux at this time and we hope everything clears up for him.
The captain has been playing left wing this season and has three points in four games and is a -2 in the +/- department.
More details to come.
