There is only one word to describe tonight’s 6-5 loss to the Nashville Predators and that is crazy!

The Predators jumped out to 3-0 lead early in the second period thanks to goals from Craig Smith, Scott Hartnell and Nick Bonino. The Flyers responded with five straight goals only to give up three tallies to the Predators in the third period, including the last two shorthanded with in the last 1:17 of the game.

Despite the craziness and very questionable decisions by Dave Hakstol, tonight will be remember for Nolan Patrick’s first career Nation Hockey League goal.  16 seconds after Andrew MacDonald got the Flyers on the board (not a typo) the second overall pick of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft struck.

Dale Weise was the catalyst on the play as he forced a turnover and after he was denied by Pekka Rinne, he made a great pass back to the front of the net where Patrick finished it off for the first of hopefully many goals in a Flyers sweater.
