The Philadelphia Flyers are getting set to play their second game in as many nights as they take on the Los Angeles Kings.
Earlier today, there were hints dropped on social media by Travis Sanheim’s girlfriend that the rookie defenseman would make his National Hockey League debut versus the Kings tonight.
We just got official word from the City of Angels that Sanheim will indeed be in the lineup at the Staples Center. According to Dave Isaac of the Post-Courier, Brandon Manning will sit out tonight to make room for the blue liner’s first game with the Flyers.
Manning did not have a very good game versus the San Jose Sharks Wednesday night so the change does not come as a huge shock. We will have to wait until pregame warmups to see who Sanheim’s partner will be, but it is likely to be Radko Gudas who skated with Manning in San Jose.
Are you happy with Dave Hakstol’s decision?
