The Flyers will look for some revenge tonight, just eight days after the Blackhawks shut them out 3-0 in Chicago. The Wells Fargo Center has not been kind to the Chicago Blackhawks during their regular season. They won their first ever appearance in the building, 21 years ago today, but have lost 13 straight games since then.

The Flyers’ blue line is getting healthier as Radko Gudas will be back in the lineup tonight. The physical defenseman has not played since running into the elbow of Blackhawks forward Brandon Saad last week.

General manager Ron Hextall told reporters today that defenseman Andrew MacDonald is on track in his recovery and may begin skating next week.

Michal Neuvirth was originally expected to be tonight’s starting goaltender, but he has reportedly been under the weather of late and Brian Elliott will get the call. It is unsure if Neuvith will be available to backup Elliott, but no roster move has been made at this point.

Since the Blackhawks beat the Flyers last week, they have scored two goals over their last two games and one of them was an empty netter. Head coach Joel Quenneville has been looking for the right combinations offensively and will put Patrick Sharp, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane on the same line tonight. There was a time when this was called the “nuclear option” in Chicago, but it remains to be seen if that holds true these days.
